Egg Carton Pirate Boats

Arrrgh, matey! It’s a pirate’s life for us on Moonfrye this week. These adorable recycled egg carton pirate boats are super easy to make and guaranteed to deliver hours of fun on the high seas. Send your fleet on a pirate adventure (they’ll float!) Don’t forget to look for buried treasure…

What you will need:

Egg carton

Toothpicks

Play dough

Ruler

Plain white paper

Scissors

Glue

Brown paint

Paintbrush

Pirate stickers

Instructions:

Step 1: Cut egg carton apart into individual cups and trim the edges round.

Step 2: Paint each cup brown and allow to dry.

Step 3: Roll a ball of play dough and insert into the bottom of each cup.

Step 4: Cut strips of paper to create your ship’s sails and attach to a toothpick “mast.”

Step 5: Insert toothpick into play dough.

Step 6: Decorate sails with pirate stickers.

  1. Such a cute idea! My mom watches my sister’s and my kids a few times a week. There are two 4 year olds, two 2 year olds, and one 8 month old. She is always doing fun projects with the kids and this will be perfect!
