Easy Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream

One item on my summer bucket list is to eat LOTS and LOTS of ice cream. We have a great local place that makes fun flavors like horchata, carrot cake, and red wine chocolate chip. While I love these yummy varieties, I do have a thing for homemade vanilla. I’m not sure if it’s the work that goes into making it or the nostalgia of it all, but it truly tastes worlds better than any other ice cream. It’s crazy easy to make, and my recipe doesn’t have any eggs, which is great. Here’s what you need:

2 C milk (2% or whole)
3/4 C sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla
1 C whipping cream

In a medium bowl with a wooden spoon, stir together the milk, sugar, and vanilla until the sugar is dissolved. Add the cream and mix together. Pour into your ice cream maker and follow the manufacturer’s instructions until it’s done!

Eat it right away! If you’re feeling daring, make sure to top it with fresh berries or a yummy sauce!
